Personal Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical personal care including assistance with personal hygiene, bathing, toileting, and brushing teeth
• Perform basic domestic services such as meal preparation, laundry, and light housework
• Assist participants with mobility issues, including transfers in and out of bed or wheelchairs
• Remind clients to take medications and assist with daily activities based on individual needs
• Provide a caring, positive presence and act quickly and responsibly in emergency situations
• Document participant progress through written, electronic, or verbal communication

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (advanced degree or credits preferred)
• Minimum of one year of experience working in a healthcare setting
• Superior interpersonal skills and a high energy level
• Ability to function effectively in a team atmosphere
