About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical personal care including assistance with personal hygiene, bathing, toileting, and brushing teeth
- Perform basic domestic services such as meal preparation, laundry, and light housework
- Assist participants with mobility issues, including transfers in and out of bed or wheelchairs
- Remind clients to take medications and assist with daily activities based on individual needs
- Provide a caring, positive presence and act quickly and responsibly in emergency situations
- Document participant progress through written, electronic, or verbal communication
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (advanced degree or credits preferred)
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a healthcare setting
- Superior interpersonal skills and a high energy level
- Ability to function effectively in a team atmosphere
