Personal Care Aide

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, and skin care
• Assist with patient transfers (bed to chair, wheelchair, etc.) and ambulation using canes or walkers
• Provide medication reminders and assist with dressing
• Prepare meals based on client dietary preferences and assist with feeding if required
• Perform household tasks essential to the client's personal care and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Accompany clients to medical appointments or shopping trips and perform essential errands
• Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure within training limitations
• Record and report client observations and activities to the Branch Manager

Requirements

• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
• Access to a dependable vehicle or ability to use public transportation
• Completion of a home health aide training program, equivalent exam, or one year of equivalent experience in personal care services

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of home care experience
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet client needs
