Personal Care Aide

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, nail care, and skin care
• Assist with patient transfers (bed to chair, wheelchair, etc.) and ambulation using canes, walkers, or crutches
• Provide medication reminders and assist with dressing
• Prepare meals based on client dietary preferences and assist with feeding if required
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment, including the safe use of equipment like oxygen and Hoyer lifts
• Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure within training limitations
• Accompany clients to medical appointments or perform essential errands like shopping
• Record and report client condition observations and activities to the Branch Manager
• Utilize Electronic Visit Verification (E.V.V.) programs as applicable

Requirements

• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
• Access to a dependable vehicle or ability to use public transportation
• Completion of a home health aide training program, an equivalent exam, or one year of experience providing personal care services

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of previous home care experience
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet client needs
