Personal Banking Associate

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service by identifying customer needs and providing advice on financial solutions and digital banking options
• Act as a lobby leader to guide customers through the branch and recommend alternative banking channels
• Conduct needs-based conversations to identify opportunities for everyday banking plans and credit card products
• Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities that grow customer relationships
• Support operational activities including inventory management, customer applications, and opening/closing procedures
• Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory policies to safeguard customer assets and maintain privacy
• Maintain current knowledge of personal banking products, trends, and the legal/regulatory environment

Requirements

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Investment product sales registration completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months)
• Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online applications
• Experience in consultative customer service or sales roles
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and connections with customers
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and the ability to respond flexibly to new challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
