Personal Banker

Responsibilities

• Engage clients through in-person conversations and proactive calling to uncover financial needs and provide customized wellness recommendations.
• Open personal and business accounts, including checking, small business, deposit products, home equity, and certificates of deposit.
• Attain individual activity, behavior, and outcome goals related to client acquisition and relationship deepening.
• Partner with branch teammates and line of business partners to expand client relationships and manage internal/external centers of influence.
• Ensure compliance with all operational, risk, security, and audit procedures, including accurate documentation of client interactions.
• Support branch operations by assisting with client transactions on the teller line as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in relationship development, sales, or building referral sources.
• Foundational understanding of consumer credit, including loan-to-value, debt-to-income, and credit reports.
• Knowledge of sales and service techniques such as prospecting, networking, and tele-consulting.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and digital technology literacy (mobile apps, web-based browsing).
• Demonstrated ability to influence business partners and leverage professional contacts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience interacting with small business clients and overcoming objections.
• Valid Notary License.
