About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying financial needs and providing tailored advice.
- Conduct needs-based assessments to recommend solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business needs.
- Proactively engage with the community to generate appointments and build new customer relationships.
- Provide guidance on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance the customer experience.
- Make credit recommendations for personal lending and home financing in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio.
- Collaborate with branch team members to achieve business objectives and ensure accurate data entry and compliance.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a consultative customer service or sales role.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Completed registration to sell investment products (as appropriate for the jurisdiction).
- Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
- Working knowledge of retail investments, lending products, and small business customer needs.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online applications.
