About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service by identifying customer needs and providing advice on financial solutions, including retail investments, lending, and small business solutions.
- Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects through needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify future opportunities.
- Recommend tailored banking solutions and guide customers toward digital and self-serve options to simplify their banking experience.
- Make credit recommendations for personal lending and home financing in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio.
- Build new relationships within the community by generating appointments and reaching out to potential clients.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements, including identifying and reporting suspicious activities related to money laundering.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid registration to sell investment products as required by the jurisdiction.
- Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
- Strong knowledge of retail investments, lending products, and personal/small business banking needs.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications.
