Personal Banker

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service by identifying customer needs and providing advice on financial solutions, including retail investments, lending, and everyday banking.
• Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects through needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify future opportunities.
• Recommend tailored solutions for home financing, small business solutions, and digital banking options to make banking simple and fast.
• Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions in accordance with bank policies and sound credit principles.
• Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and lending requirements.
• Build new relationships within the community by generating appointments and reaching out to potential clients.
• Collaborate with branch and market teams to achieve business objectives and contribute to an improved customer experience.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid registration to sell investment products as required by the jurisdiction.
• Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
• Strong working knowledge of retail investments, lending products, and personal/small business customer needs.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online applications.
