About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service by identifying customer needs and providing advice on financial solutions, including retail investments, lending, and everyday banking.
- Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects through needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify future opportunities.
- Recommend tailored solutions for home financing, small business solutions, and digital banking options to make banking simple and fast.
- Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions in accordance with bank policies and sound credit principles.
- Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
- Build new relationships within the community by generating appointments and reaching out to potential clients.
- Collaborate with branch team members to achieve business objectives and contribute to an improved customer experience.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid registration to sell investment products as required by the jurisdiction.
- Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
- Working knowledge of retail investments, lending products, and personal/small business customer needs.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications.
