Personal Banker

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service by identifying customer needs and providing tailored advice on banking, investments, and lending solutions
• Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects through needs-based assessments to grow loyalty
• Recommend financial solutions including everyday banking, retail investments, home financing, and small business solutions
• Guide customers on digital and self-serve banking options to improve their experience
• Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements
• Manage risk by applying the Bank's risk management framework to protect assets and maintain portfolio quality
• Build new relationships within the community by generating appointments and outreach

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a similar field
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Completed registration to sell investment products as appropriate for the jurisdiction
• Appropriate lending qualifications and designations
• Working knowledge of retail investments and lending products
• Experience in a consultative sales or customer service role
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with personal and small business customer solutions
• Proficiency in using digital tools, including social media, tablets, and smartphones
• Ability to thrive in a team-based, results-oriented environment
