Personal Banker

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service by identifying customer needs and providing tailored financial advice and guidance.
• Conduct needs-based assessments to recommend solutions for everyday banking, retail investments, lending, and small business needs.
• Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects to grow loyalty and build new community relationships.
• Provide guidance on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance the customer experience.
• Make credit recommendations for personal lending and home financing in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio.
• Collaborate with branch and market teams to achieve business objectives and contribute to overall results.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completed registration to sell investment products as required by the jurisdiction.
• Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
• Strong knowledge of retail investments, lending products, and personal/small business banking solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications.
