Personal Banker

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by providing tailored financial advice and guidance.
• Conduct needs-based assessments to identify opportunities in everyday banking, retail investments, lending solutions, and small business solutions.
• Proactively engage with the community to generate appointments and build new client relationships.
• Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, in compliance with bank policies.
• Promote digital and self-serve banking options to enhance the customer experience.
• Manage risk and compliance by following established frameworks to protect bank assets and maintain portfolio quality.
• Resolve customer issues and ensure accurate data entry in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completed registration to sell investment products as required by the jurisdiction.
• Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
• Working knowledge of retail investments, lending products, and small business customer needs.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications.
