Personal Banker

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service by identifying customer needs and providing advice on financial solutions, including retail investments and lending.
• Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects through needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
• Recommend tailored solutions for everyday banking, home financing, and small business needs.
• Guide customers on using digital and self-serve banking options to improve their experience.
• Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio.
• Build new relationships within the community by generating appointments and outreach.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid registration to sell investment products as required by the jurisdiction.
• Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
• Strong working knowledge of retail investments, lending products, and small business solutions.
• Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online applications.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
