Personal Banker

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects to identify financial needs and growth opportunities
• Conduct needs-based assessments to recommend tailored solutions including everyday banking, retail investments, and lending
• Provide advice and guidance on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance customer experience
• Generate new business by reaching out to the community and building new client relationships
• Make credit recommendations for personal lending and home financing in compliance with bank policies
• Apply risk management frameworks to protect bank assets and maintain a high-quality lending portfolio
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements, including anti-money laundering protocols

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services or a consultative sales role
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid registration to sell investment products as required by the jurisdiction
• Appropriate lending qualifications and designations
• Working knowledge of retail investments, lending products, and small business solutions
• Proficiency with digital tools, including tablets, smartphones, and online banking applications
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
