Person in Charge - Disability Service

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall service, ensuring high standards of care for residents and effective staff management
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and implement policies supporting best practice in disability services
• Manage the staff team through supervision, appraisals, and monthly meetings
• Coordinate and prioritize appointments in liaison with multi-disciplinary teams
• Ensure high quality of life through person-centered care plans, health promotion, and risk assessments
• Support residents in maintaining choice, control, and social relationships
• Regularly review and update care plans in accordance with regulations
• Respond to complaints in line with organizational procedures

Requirements

• QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care or a relevant Allied Healthcare discipline
• Minimum of three years of experience in a management or supervisory role within the Health or Social Care sector
• Qualification in Health or Social Care management (minimum Level 6 NFQ)
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
