About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the general direction and running of the designated centre
- Ensure a home-like atmosphere that caters to the health and recreational needs of supported people
- Manage and monitor annual budgets, including staffing and expenditure
- Ensure service compliance with the Health Act 2007 and HIQA regulations
- Implement person-centred programmes reflecting individual aspirations
- Manage, supervise, and develop permanent and relief staff
- Coordinate medication administration and recording in line with policies
- Prepare and manage staff rosters within approved budgets
- Promote community participation and local awareness for the group home
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of management or supervisory experience in health or social care
- Level 7 or higher QQI qualification in nursing, social care, or health science
- NMBI registration
- Relevant management qualification
- Proven track record in residential service management and budget oversight
- Experience in report writing, personal support plans, and roster management
- Full current driving licence
- Excellent IT skills
- Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements
