Permit To Work (PTW) Officer

Responsibilities

• Issue, monitor, and close work permits including hot work, confined space, electrical, and excavation permits
• Review permit requests to ensure risk assessments and safety control measures are in place
• Ensure all permits comply with HSE policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, and HSE teams before work begins
• Maintain accurate PTW records, logs, and reports for site activities
• Conduct spot checks to ensure compliance with permit conditions and safety procedures
• Support the HSE team in promoting safe work practices and PTW awareness

Requirements

• High School or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in PTW systems, HSE, or construction safety roles
• Strong knowledge of permit-to-work systems and high-risk work permits
• Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and risk assessment processes
• Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills
