Perioperative Nurse

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality care across various perioperative settings including pre-admission, admission, and discharge
• Perform scrub/scout roles within the surgical environment
• Provide care in the Recovery / Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU)
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anaesthetic teams, and allied health professionals to support positive patient outcomes

Requirements

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse
• Current CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated perioperative nursing experience
• Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical team
• National Police Clearance and Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts in a casual capacity

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing
• Experience across multiple perioperative specialties
• Advanced Life Support (ALS1) certification
