Performance Testing Engineer (DevOps)

Responsibilities

• Integrate performance and load testing directly into CI/CD pipelines to catch bottlenecks early in the development lifecycle
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable automated performance test scripts
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain Grafana dashboards and provision test environments as code
• Execute load, stress, endurance, and spike tests to diagnose CPU, memory, database, and network constraints
• Work alongside software engineers to refactor code, optimize database queries, and tune infrastructure to meet SLA/SLO requirements
• Develop automated strategies for generating, masking, and managing large volumes of realistic test data

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing and engineering
• Proficiency in writing automated test scripts using Java, Python, or Go
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Deep familiarity with performance testing frameworks such as JMeter, k6, Gatling, or Locust
• Experience with APM solutions like Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic
• Strong analytical skills to interpret server metrics and translate data into actionable recommendations
