Performance Nutrition Fellow

Responsibilities

• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), individual and team sport performance nutrition counseling, and life skills educational programming
• Conduct comprehensive body composition assessments, meal compliance monitoring, and competition fueling strategies
• Serve as an active member of the Eating Disorder/Disordered Eating Task Force
• Collaborate on menu planning and development with the Executive Chef and Director of the Performance Nutrition Center
• Manage data for performance nutrition research, NoteMeal software, and sports science projects
• Oversee inventory and maintenance of fueling stations and manage game day logistics
• Supervise student volunteer interns and Dietetic Interns (DI)
• Represent the department during recruiting events, tours, and presentations

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
• Ability to obtain licensure in the state of Louisiana upon hire
• Ability to work extended days, weekends, and holidays, including potential travel
