About the role

Responsibilities

  • Instruct individuals in holistic approaches to strength, conditioning, and resilience to optimize mental and physical health.
  • Conduct training intake, registration, and development of customized training plans.
  • Research, tailor, produce, and distribute course materials for training events.
  • Facilitate training sessions and document student grades in required databases.
  • Assess training impact through surveys and provide After-Action Reviews (AAR) and quarterly data analysis to leadership.
  • Provide tailored educational programs and workshops to help personnel in demanding environments achieve personal and professional goals.
  • Support the development of professional climates founded on mutual trust, cohesive teams, and critical thinking.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Coaching Education, or Kinesiology with a specialized emphasis in sport or performance psychology.
  • Proven teaching or coaching experience, preferably with military and DoD personnel.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Army organizational structure, mission objectives, and Department of the Army regulations/policies.
  • Ability to complete initial instructor certifications to ensure effective delivery of lessons.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications or memberships in professional associations such as the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).
  • Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) designation.
  • American Board of Sport Psychology (ABSP) certification.
