About the role
Responsibilities
- Instruct individuals in holistic approaches to strength, conditioning, and resilience to ensure durability.
- Conduct training intake, registration, unit contact, and development of customized training plans.
- Prepare, tailor, and distribute all course materials for training events.
- Facilitate training sessions and document student grades in required databases.
- Assess training impact through surveys and provide After-Action Reviews (AAR) to leadership.
- Provide feedback on training delivery and maintain detailed records of all training activities.
- Deliver tailored educational programs and workshops focused on mental and emotional strength, leadership, and professional climate building.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Counseling Education, Coaching Education, or Kinesiology with an emphasis in sport/performance psychology.
- Proven teaching or coaching experience, preferably with military or DoD personnel.
- Thorough knowledge of the Army organizational structure, mission objectives, and Department of the Army regulations.
- Ability to complete initial instructor certifications to ensure effective lesson delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications or memberships in professional associations such as the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).
- Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) or American Board of Sport Psychology (ABSP) credentials.
