Performance Analytics Consultant

Responsibilities

• Guide and collaborate with stakeholders to provide value-added analysis of local, regional, and provincial information
• Meet with program leaders to develop KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, and real-time metrics
• Gather requirements and develop reports and visualizations using modern BI tools like Power BI
• Translate business needs into operational analytics requirements
• Utilize SQL, Power Query, Power BI, and Excel to extract and manipulate data
• Identify opportunities to automate data collection, tracking, and reporting
• Prepare and merge data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality
• Develop and maintain documentation and technical specifications for all reporting

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Health Administration, or Health Sciences
• 3-5 years of experience in health-related Performance Analytics or Decision Support
• Proficiency in SQL, Power Pivot, and Power Query
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of CIHI Coding (DAD/NACRS) and Ontario-specific grouping methodologies
• Expertise in data visualization techniques and reporting tools
• Understanding of logical, relational, and multi-dimensional data modelling

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in business analysis, data science, statistics, or HIM (e.g., CHIMA member)
• Master's Degree
• Experience with Python or R
• Experience with Meditech or other EMR systems
