Performance Analysis Engineer

Responsibilities

• Characterize various Client workloads by collecting performance data from silicon runs
• Work with software teams to understand workloads and drive performance optimizations
• Run performance simulations and analyze results to evaluate architectural features
• Develop and maintain tools for data collection and analysis
• Collaborate with microprocessor architects, ISA owners, and software teams to identify and resolve architectural performance issues

Requirements

• 2+ years of industry or academic experience
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture and system simulation
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
• Experience with mathematical and statistical modeling and data analysis
• Detailed microarchitecture knowledge of CPU, NoC, or DRAM controllers
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with computing software including operating systems, hypervisors, compilers, and drivers
• Experience with performance evaluation methodologies
