People Ops Exceptions Sr Analyst

Responsibilities

• Execute off-cycle payments resulting from payroll errors or omissions, ensuring proper validation and documentation.
• Manage overpayment cases, including root cause analysis, accounting booking support, and recovery processes.
• Execute operational controls and validations to prevent discrepancies and maintain documentation for internal and external audits.
• Analyze and monitor weekly and monthly process KPIs to identify trends, deviations, and operational risks.
• Provide timely follow-up on critical cases and collaborate with stakeholders for resolution.
• Participate in transition and scope expansion projects by providing operational support and analysis.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in payroll operations, payroll exceptions, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, including off-cycle payments and reconciliation.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with payroll/HR systems such as SAP or EC.
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Fluent in English with effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with external payroll vendors (BPO).
• Experience in global or regional payroll environments.
