About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own HRIS administration, including data integrity, system configuration, and reporting.
  • Lead upcoming HRIS implementation and ensure clean, accurate records.
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and equipment.
  • Administer health benefits, 401(k), and leave programs.
  • Maintain compliance calendars, personnel files, and employment records.
  • Support payroll workflows and bi-weekly contractor hour processing.
  • Coordinate NYC office operations, including vendor relationships, facilities, and team events.
  • Manage employee culture initiatives such as team lunches, swag, and milestone celebrations.
  • Identify and automate manual workflows to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support performance cycle administration and maintain the People Ops Notion workspace.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of HR or People Ops experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Hands-on HRIS experience (e.g., Rippling, BambooHR, or Workday) involving system administration and reporting.
  • Active curiosity and usage of AI tools to improve workflows.
  • Ability to work in-person in our NYC office 4 days a week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience administering health benefits, 401(k), or managing open enrollment.
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment law compliance.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements or workflow automation.
  • Experience coordinating office operations, logistics, or employee engagement programs.

Benefits

  • Annual salary of $90,000–$110,000 plus equity.
