People Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

• Own the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding
• Serve as the primary resource for employee questions regarding HR, benefits, and people initiatives
• Administer benefits programs and serve as the primary liaison with vendors
• Coordinate visa and immigration processes with external vendors
• Support payroll inputs and ensure data accuracy across systems
• Build scalable processes, documentation, and workflows
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Communicate people-related updates to the broader team
• Partner with the Operations team on various projects

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in an HR generalist or People Operations role
• Deep familiarity with the full employee lifecycle
• Strong working knowledge of employment law and compliance
• Experience owning benefits renewals and open enrollment end-to-end
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• High EQ and discretion with confidential information
• Ability to work in ambiguity and juggle multiple priorities
• Tech fluency in Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
• Experience coordinating visa processes
• Experience with Justworks or similar PEO platforms
