People Operations Manager

About the Company

Rebar is building the next-generation operating system for commercial HVAC, electrical, and plumbing suppliers and subcontractors. Fresh off a $14M Series A, we are transforming the $250B HVAC industry with AI-native software.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes
• Design and roll out lightweight performance review processes
• Manage benefits, 401(k), and payroll administration
• Maintain employee records, org charts, and personnel files
• Build and maintain internal policies and procedures for legal compliance
• Source and engage candidates through proactive outreach
• Own and configure the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
• Coordinate with hiring managers and third-party recruiters
• Create recruiting infrastructure including tools, metrics, and rituals
• Manage relationships with HR, benefits, payroll, and operational vendors
• Improve internal systems like Slack, Google Workspace, and Ramp

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in people operations, HR, or a generalist people role
• Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic company environment
• Proficiency with HR systems, ATS platforms, and benefits administration
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
• Exceptional organizational skills
