People Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Execute people strategies to rapidly scale Lalamove's presence in the UK market.
• Lead the hiring process by developing talent pipelines, managing selection, and headhunting top talent to ensure cultural and skill alignment.
• Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, benefits, contracts, and company compliance.
• Manage company software and payroll systems to ensure they remain effective and up-to-date.
• Collaborate with the global People and Legal teams in Hong Kong on employment law, legislation, and compliance matters.
• Partner with UK management to advise on organizational design, compensation, and team-building strategies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for employee support regarding performance, professional development, and leave.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, ideally within fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK labour regulations and local recruitment specifics.
• Undergraduate or Master's degree in HR or a similar field.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Native or business-level proficiency in English.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and exercise high levels of discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a matrix organization structure.
• Experience managing rapid scaling and organizational growth.
