People Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS administration, benefits, and compliance
• Manage and continuously improve the HRIS and related People systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Design and document scalable processes and workflows to support company growth
• Partner with Finance, Legal, and IT to ensure smooth payroll, benefits, and compliance operations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR systems
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and manage required filings
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting on key People metrics such as headcount and attrition
• Lead or support People programs including performance review cycles and engagement surveys

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Ops, or a related HR generalist role, ideally at a high-growth startup
• Hands-on experience owning an HRIS and related People tech stack
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law and compliance requirements
• Excellent process and project management skills with the ability to build systems from scratch
• High attention to detail and strong judgment when handling confidential information
• Clear, empathetic communication skills to support employees at all levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rippling
• Experience scaling HR operations through periods of rapid headcount growth
• Experience with global or international HR operations
