People Operations Lead

About the Company

Fiducial is a young but fast-growing deep-tech start-up working at the frontier of autonomy, perception, and defence. We develop software for advanced on-board UAV situational awareness in military applications, utilizing low-cost sensors and compute for scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and run core People Operations processes across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Manage employee records, HRIS data hygiene, policies, and documentation.
• Support hiring managers with role setup, interview processes, and candidate communication.
• Coordinate with Finance on payroll and employment cost tracking.
• Support remote and international hiring across Europe, ensuring compliance with local practices.
• Use modern tools like Notion, Ashby, and AI agents to automate and improve workflows.
• Maintain the employee handbook and core people documentation.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of HR generalist or People Operations experience in the Netherlands.
• Experience in an international startup or scale-up environment.
• Proven experience supporting remote or distributed teams across Europe.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch employment practices and international hiring.
• Excellent documentation, process-building, and project management skills.
• A builder mindset with the ability to create order without excessive bureaucracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in deep-tech, AI, robotics, aerospace, or defence sectors.
• Tech-savvy with experience using Notion, Slack, Ashby, or HRIS platforms.
• Experience building lightweight automations or dashboards for HR processes.
• Interest in leveraging AI to improve people operations.
