People Operations Lead

Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on French employment law, including contracts, works council obligations, and statutory requirements
• Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle for direct employees and EOR markets, including onboarding, offboarding, and payroll inputs
• Build and maintain SOPs, templates, and playbooks to enable scalable People Ops delivery
• Manage EOR partner relationships and ensure multi-jurisdiction compliance
• Identify operational gaps and lead cross-functional projects such as HRIS improvements and policy rollouts
• Support team gatherings, market visits, and offsites to connect a distributed team

Requirements

• 6+ years in People Operations or HR, preferably in a scaleup or startup environment
• Strong working knowledge of French employment law
• Proven ability to own processes end-to-end with limited oversight
• Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
• Based in Paris with the ability to work from the office regularly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting People Ops across African markets
• Hands-on experience managing EOR partners
• Familiarity with HRIS tools like Deel, RemotePass, or Ashby
• Experience designing compensation or leveling frameworks
• Multilingual capabilities and cultural fluency in global markets
