Responsibilities
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on French employment law, including contracts, works council obligations, and statutory requirements
- Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle for direct employees and EOR markets, including onboarding, offboarding, and payroll inputs
- Build and maintain SOPs, templates, and playbooks to enable scalable People Ops delivery
- Manage EOR partner relationships and ensure multi-jurisdiction compliance
- Identify operational gaps and lead cross-functional projects such as HRIS improvements and policy rollouts
- Support team gatherings, market visits, and offsites to connect a distributed team
Requirements
- 6+ years in People Operations or HR, preferably in a scaleup or startup environment
- Strong working knowledge of French employment law
- Proven ability to own processes end-to-end with limited oversight
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
- Based in Paris with the ability to work from the office regularly
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting People Ops across African markets
- Hands-on experience managing EOR partners
- Familiarity with HRIS tools like Deel, RemotePass, or Ashby
- Experience designing compensation or leveling frameworks
- Multilingual capabilities and cultural fluency in global markets
