About the Company

Exa is building a search engine for the AI era. Our Search API currently powers Agents, Fortune 500s and AI labs as we transform an industry that hasn’t been disrupted since the 90s. We're a largely SF-based team of ~100 from Harvard, MIT, Meta, Google Research, ex-founders & dropouts alike.

Responsibilities

• Run end-to-end onboarding for every new hire
• Coordinate international hires and contractors alongside local advisors
• Support visa and immigration cases with immigration counsel
• Own day-to-day benefits administration and support annual renewals
• Maintain clean and accurate HRIS and people data
• Build trackers, runbooks, and systems to support scaling
• Support compliance work including handbooks, I-9s, SOC 2, and board consents
• Help plan offsites, company parties, and team moments
• Continuously improve the employee experience

Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience in people ops, HR, recruiting coordination, or startup operations
• Exceptional organizational skills with spreadsheets and trackers
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Bias toward action and independent problem-solving
• Strong ownership mentality
• Genuine care for employee experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a top-tier startup or scale-up
• International exposure across hiring, employment, or coordination
• Experience scaling a company through high-growth stages
