People Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end onboarding for new hires, including background checks, paperwork, and I-9 verification
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires throughout their onboarding journey
• Manage HRIS transactions, including new hire profiles, status changes, and offboarding
• Identify manual workflows and lead efforts to automate them using AI tools and workflow platforms
• Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and organizational charts
• Support managers with performance review cycles and promotion documentation
• Manage company swag inventory and coordinate employee recognition efforts

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience in HR Operations, Compensation and Benefits, or a related field
• Proven experience with I-9 verification, onboarding workflows, and HRIS data entry
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking and reporting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in person from the Midtown Manhattan office 5 days a week
