People Business Partner Contractor

Responsibilities

• Build deep, trusted relationships with business unit leaders to serve as a strategic thought partner on organizational health and talent strategy.
• Drive organizational design, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development.
• Navigate complex employee relations situations with sound judgment, empathy, and legal awareness.
• Champion change leadership initiatives and communicate transformations with clarity and conviction.
• Execute end-to-end People programs including performance cycles, engagement actions, and compensation planning.
• Identify gaps and design new People infrastructure to support a high-growth environment.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 4-6 years of HRBP or People Business Partner experience, preferably in a fast-growth SaaS or technology company.
• Demonstrated ability to build advisory relationships with senior and C-suite leaders.
• Proven expertise in handling complex employee relations situations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in the Pleasanton, CA office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-growth startup or company scaling through significant organizational change.
• Track record of building or rebuilding People programs from scratch.
• Proficiency with Workday (HCM, Recruiting, Talent).
• Experience supporting global or international business units.
• Exposure to M&A, rapid headcount scaling, or organizational redesign.
