Pension Risk Management and Settlement Strategy Consultant

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting expertise on settlement strategies, including lump sum, annuity purchase, and plan termination feasibility
• Analyze capital market environments and their impact on pension plan financials
• Lead multi-phase projects, including project planning, budget management, and delegation to associates
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with client contacts and internal leadership
• Support new business generation by promoting pension risk transfer transactions
• Perform technical reviews of work products and settlement financial analyses
• Mentor junior project team associates and contribute to the development of new tools and approaches

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in defined benefit plan management, ideally in a consulting environment
• Undergraduate degree is required
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and delivering quality results on time and within budget
• Strong client relationship, interpersonal, and team skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pension risk transfer assessment or placement
• Advanced degree
• Professional credentials such as ASA, EA, FSA, CERA, or CFA

• Competitive base salary range of $125,000 to $175,000 USD per year
