Penetration Testing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform penetration testing on networks, web applications, and systems to uncover potential security threats
• Identify vulnerabilities using both manual techniques and automated tools
• Document findings comprehensively and provide actionable recommendations for remediation
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to address and fix identified vulnerabilities
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and mitigation techniques

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• 3+ years of proven experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment
• Deep understanding of network protocols and web application security
• Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, and Nmap
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant industry certifications such as OSCP or CEH
