PEMB Drafter

Responsibilities

• Deliver complete and accurate drafting outputs, including drawings, shop details, and bills of materials (BOMs)
• Produce fabrication documents that align with design calculations and manufacturing limitations
• Generate precise permit, approval, and erection drawings
• Maintain tight project schedules and respond to technical inquiries from customers and manufacturing
• Provide expert-level solutions for field issues and support customer service
• Coach, mentor, and train less experienced drafters
• Manage multiple complex projects through fabrication and erection phases
• Ensure conformance with engineering processes and quality standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in metal building drafting
• At least 5 years of experience as a checker or quality inspector for complex buildings
• Minimum of 10 years of experience using Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, or Trimble Connect
• Strong proficiency in advanced trigonometry and geometry
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field
• Certification in AutoCAD, Tekla, or other relevant design software
• Experience with model-based engineering practices
