About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional, moral, and practical support to clients to assist with activities of daily living and social engagement.
- Facilitate participation in 12-step and Step-Work programs while modeling principles of recovery.
- Monitor client well-being through regular status checks and mental health check-ins.
- Administer prescribed medications and support follow-up on wellness concerns, including urinalysis as required.
- Maintain accurate client records, documentation of interactions, and reports of behavioral concerns.
- Ensure client confidentiality in accordance with FOIP legislation and uphold program rules and safety standards.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to support recreational or therapeutic activities.
Requirements
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of related experience.
- Certification in Mental Health First Aid.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Naloxone Training.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
