Pediatrician

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care for patients under 18, including routine, acute, and chronic conditions
• Conduct well-child exams, sports physicals, developmental screenings, and immunizations
• Diagnose and treat common pediatric conditions such as ADHD, cerebral palsy, and emotional concerns
• Educate parents and patients on disease management, wellness, and preventive care
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostics
• Support Family Advocacy Program exams, documentation, and reporting
• Supervise and mentor residents, corpsmen, and support personnel
• Document care accurately in CHCS, AHLTA, and MHS Genesis

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school
• Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited pediatric internship/residency
• Board Certification in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics
• Current, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory
• Current BLS and PALS certification
• 1+ year of full-time pediatric experience within the last 2 years
• Ability to use EHR systems and meet military clinic documentation requirements
• 2 recent letters of reference from supervising physicians or hospital administrators
