Pediatrician

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine check-ups, vaccinations, and health screenings in accordance with Canadian Pediatric Society (CPS) guidelines
• Diagnose and treat a variety of childhood illnesses, injuries, and developmental disorders
• Provide guidance to parents on immunizations, nutrition, mental health, and preventive care
• Refer patients to specialists and work collaboratively with allied healthcare professionals
• Maintain detailed and accurate electronic medical records (EMRs) adhering to Ontario’s health data and privacy regulations

Requirements

• Medical degree with certification in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or equivalent
• Licensed to practice medicine in Ontario (CPSO certification)
• Membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency with EMRs and Microsoft Teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Ontario’s healthcare system and OHIP billing practices
• Registration in other provinces
