About the role
Responsibilities
- Mentor nursing students in clinical settings as they demonstrate nursing skills and procedures
- Focus on family-centered care for children, covering health promotion, illness prevention, and rehabilitative care
- Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students
- Provide documented feedback and remediation to students based on course objectives
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student learning needs
- Grade homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner
- Maintain current knowledge of agency and clinical policies and procedures
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- 2+ years of experience within the last five years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse (Required)
- Professional Nurse licensure in the state of practice (Required)
- Excellent communication skills with a high level of initiative and prudent judgment
