Pediatric Visiting Professor

Responsibilities

• Mentor nursing students in clinical settings as they demonstrate nursing skills and procedures
• Focus on family-centered care for children, covering health promotion, illness prevention, and rehabilitative care
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students
• Provide documented feedback and remediation to students based on course objectives
• Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student learning needs
• Grade homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner
• Maintain current knowledge of agency and clinical policies and procedures

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
• 2+ years of experience within the last five years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse (Required)
• Professional Nurse licensure in the state of practice (Required)
• Excellent communication skills with a high level of initiative and prudent judgment
