About the role
Responsibilities
- Partner with pediatricians and advanced care practitioners to provide preventive, primary, and urgent care both in-clinic and via home visits
- Provide highly personalized nursing care and develop strong relationships with pediatric members and their families
- Perform minor procedures including vaccinations, phlebotomy, and peripheral IV insertion under provider direction
- Conduct point-of-care testing in the home, such as rapid COVID, flu, and strep testing
- Perform sample collection and processing using institute lab equipment
- Compile visit summaries, complete medical paperwork, and maintain accurate medical records
- Triage member calls for potential sick visits
- Provide patient education regarding medication kits, telemedicine tools, and management of acute or chronic conditions
- Manage clinical administrative tasks including inventorying medication and ordering supplies
Requirements
- Current New York Registered Nursing License
- 2+ years of experience as a practicing RN
- Regular experience in phlebotomy and IV placement
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for member home visits
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment
