Responsibilities

• Partner with pediatricians and advanced care practitioners to provide preventive, primary and urgent care
• Provide highly personalized nursing care activities for pediatric patients
• Perform minor procedures including vaccinations, phlebotomy, and peripheral IV insertion
• Perform point-of-care testing such as rapid covid, flu, and strep testing
• Perform sample collections and processing utilizing medical testing machines
• Complete forms and paperwork for members
• Perform administrative tasks such as inventorying medication and ordering supplies
• Communicate with primary care and specialty clinical staff in a team-based model
• Provide education to members regarding medication kits, telemedicine tools, and acute/chronic condition care
• Triage member calls for possible sick visits
• Maintain professional licenses, certifications, and credentials
• Document and maintain medical records for members

Requirements

• Current FL Registered Nursing License
• 2+ years of experience as a practicing RN
• Regular experience in phlebotomy and IV placement in pediatric patients
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
