Pediatric Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Partner with pediatricians and nurse practitioners to provide preventive, primary, and urgent care in homes and at the institute
• Provide highly personalized nursing care and develop strong relationships with pediatric members
• Perform minor procedures including vaccinations, phlebotomy, and peripheral IV insertion
• Conduct point-of-care testing such as rapid COVID, flu, and strep testing
• Perform sample collection and processing using medical testing machines
• Complete clinical paperwork and administrative tasks like inventorying medication and ordering supplies
• Communicate with primary and specialty clinical staff in a team-based model
• Educate members on medication kits, telemedicine tools, and care for acute/chronic conditions
• Triage member calls for possible sick visits
• Maintain professional licenses, certifications, and medical records

Requirements

• Current FL Registered Nursing (RN) License and Registration
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
• Minimum 2+ years of pediatric RN experience
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV insertion for children ages 0-22 years
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
