About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical supervision and instruction to nursing students in a pediatric setting
- Plan clinical experiences and evaluate student performance based on course objectives
- Deliver documented feedback and provide remediation to students as required
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student learning needs
- Maintain current knowledge of agency clinical policies and procedures
- Grade clinical paperwork, quizzes, and other written assignments in a timely manner
- Communicate student and agency concerns to the course coordinator
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
- Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Oklahoma
- At least two years of professional RN experience within the last five years
- Subject matter expertise in pediatrics
- Ability to work onsite in a clinical setting, typically in 12-hour rotations
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in teaching or precepting nursing students
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine passion for nursing education and lifelong learning
