About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical supervision and instruction to nursing students in a pediatric setting
- Plan and implement clinical experiences that align with course objectives and program outcomes
- Evaluate student performance and provide documented, timely feedback and remediation
- Develop written clinical assignments tailored to student knowledge levels and skill competencies
- Grade homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner
- Maintain current knowledge of agency clinical policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the course coordinator and clinical partners to ensure high-quality student experiences
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
- Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Delaware
- At least two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years
- Exceptional subject matter expertise and strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Illinois RN License (required to teach all courses; assignments prioritized to those with this license)
- Previous experience in teaching or precepting nursing students
