Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Perform complex paediatric cardiac surgeries including open-heart procedures, valve repairs, and congenital defect corrections
• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care, including ICU management and long-term follow-up
• Collaborate with paediatric cardiologists, anaesthesiologists, and intensivists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency surgical interventions
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, residents, and fellows
• Contribute to departmental research, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with hospital policies

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery from a recognized institution
• Board Certification (e.g., American Board, FRCS, Arab Board, or equivalent)
• 5–10 years of post-fellowship experience in paediatric cardiac surgery
• Proven track record of successful surgical outcomes in high-volume centers
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in the GCC region
• Arabic language skills
