Pedagogical Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and pedagogical assistance to strengthen capacities and ensure effective implementation of the Horizontes Amazonía Program in the Ucayali region.
• Advise teachers on annual and unit planning using learning projects (socio-environmental, productive, etc.) as curriculum integrators.
• Guide teachers and school directors in developing educational projects using active learning methodologies (ABP).
• Support the diversification of didactic strategies and educational materials adapted to the linguistic and sociocultural context of focalized institutions.
• Orient teachers and tutors on pedagogical approaches to violence prevention and socio-emotional support.
• Promote student and community participation and strengthen the functioning of Protection and Wellbeing Committees.
• Design and maintain a system for recording pedagogical evidence, including implemented projects and community participation.
• Elaborate monthly progress reports including identified gaps, risks, and reinforcement needs.

Requirements

• University degree in Education, Social Sciences, Law, Health, Anthropology, or related fields.
• Specialization or advanced coursework in school management, didactics, curriculum, teacher training, or intercultural bilingual education (EIB).
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in public or private institutions.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pedagogical accompaniment, technical assistance, or educational program implementation.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience specifically within the education sector.
• Native Spanish fluency.
• Availability to travel within the country and reside in or near Pucallpa.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience working in the Amazon region.
