PE and Aquatics Assistant/Specialist, Elementary

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Physical Education program during curriculum time
• Create a positively challenging learning environment for students
• Assist in pool area observations, enforce rules, and manage facilities and equipment
• Collaborate with the Aquatic Director and PE Department to maintain aquatic resources
• Supervise students and respond to emergencies
• Prepare accurate reports and support the Lions Swim Academy programs

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children or a relevant educational certificate/diploma
• Lifeguarding experience in a pool environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications and Apple hardware
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills to relate to parents and students
• Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate initiative

Preferred Qualifications

• Competitive swim experience
• Understanding of or experience with various team sports
• Swim Teaching qualification
• Lifeguarding qualification (with commitment to maintaining certification)
• Diploma or Degree
